I expect the 22nd to 31st

I expect the 22nd to 31st January, though for Kat's sake, I'm hoping for 14th to 18th.

Rob...

he's going to wait til the

he's going to wait til the BEST month!

february == waiting for ever

as much as I'd like that - I'm starting to worry about my wife's sanity... so it might be best if he was slightly earlier than that.

Besides, I'm fed up waiting to meet him/her now.

By the way, if you think

By the way, if you think she's bad now, just wait til rowan/ eleanor is born and she's got the properly sleepless nights!

My original guess on irc was

My original guess on irc was the 22nd, but the 20th is my birthday (different month) so that'd also be good. For your own sake I hope it's earlier! :)

I reckon...

I vote for 8-14th January. I base this on my thinking that it'll get bored of being squashed by then (I'm told it's on the upper centiles of it's growth charts).

I will of course forever call it Herbert, even if it's a girl.

Would the next kiddie have the name Herbert 2.0 then? Certainly not a Herbert XP / Vista, although for the sake of irritating his/her parents I'd be tempted....

My vote is for "22nd - 31th

My vote is for "22nd - 31th January 2008", since "Most First Babies Are Late" (or, if you're cynical like me, "Doctors Can't Estimate The Due Date Correctly For First Babies"). :-)

He WILL be forever known as

He WILL be forever known as Herbert or Herbertina. And you have nobody to blame but youselves

late and big

Late and a fair size but healthy.

Sorry Kat.

minor update

We did see the midwife today, and he's apparently "2/5ths" engaged; of course this doesn't mean much as it's a bit subjective, and [s]he might not (apparently) engage fully until contractions start.

[S]he is however still head down, with his/her back facing out (which is good).
