Like my friend Liz, I got my place on the moonwalk. Having read the walk the walk site which claimed forms were going to be sent out at the beginning of february, I stopped worrying about not keeping up with my training when I thought that I hadn't got a place.
Anyway, today I got the letter that confirmed my place, so I've got to work like hell to get fit in time for the 20th of may! Which is a good challenge.

Anyway, the weather's hopefully going to improve soon (I won't go out walking when the pavements are all icy - wouldn't do me any good to fall on my arse and damage something!) and I've got a few opportunities for some good walking coming up...

This coming weekend, for about 10 days we've got my brother's dog Casey coming to stay while they're in Kenya for Jenny's sister's wedding. So with the usual suspects there will need to be a few interesting walkies. Also, we've got a lovely cottage booked in Devon for a long weekend - at the Bolberry Farm Cottages near Port Light in South Devon. Hopefully with 4 days there we can get some walking in as well as giving David the chance to get some mountain biking in. It was a pretty good bargain - a two bedroom cottage for 3 nights for only £135 !

Anyway, I've got to seriously get my act together so I've decided to get the train to Bromsgrove tomorrow for my babysitting duties and walk the mile or so into town as a good starter.
