Mothers Day

Today, I cooked a full roast dinner, with slight supervision ("Be careful - the knife is sharp!") as my Mothers day present. I ended up having to undergo this ordeal as I was too useless to book a table in any local restaurant in time.

Before stuffing my face with roast beef, I pre-empted my excessive calorie intake by by running nearly 13 miles.

In other news, last night, Rowan managed to sleep for 4 hours (and then 3 afterwards), which was a welcome change from his normal regular 2 hour feeds through the night.

Good For You!

Look on the bright side - at some point you are going to have to ensure that you can get Rowan to make a personalised card for Kat at some point during the preceding fortnight - preferably at a time so that she doesn't realise that it has happened :)

We did the restaurat thing - booked fairly late, but for a very early sitting of midday as we know the kids get bored/hungry otherwise.

The initial plan....

It had been "suggested" to me that I took Kat out to the local carvery (where you can't book) - in which case we'd have just turned up early. Unfortunately there aren't any carvery's around Presteigne.... I did somewhat enjoy cooking the roast - in that there is a small feeling of accomplishment afterwards :)
