Yesterday was our work Christmas day out, so we went to the Swan in Wittington (again), stuffed ourselves with lovely food, and then went to the NEC to watch Jasper Carrot's Rock with Laughter Christmas show.
The show and meal itself were both very good, unfortunately the taxi had a flat on the way to the NEC (that'll teach him for driving in the middle lane all the time!) and he was also late turning up to retrieve us from there.
We had two spare tickets to Jasper's gig, but seemed unable to find anyone who was willing to have them (for free!). Unfortunately we didn't have much notice before the event, so I spent a few minutes on the phone last night ringing around random people seeing if anyone wanted to come along. No one did. We have no friends.
Didn't get home until about 1am, so I'm a little tired this morning.

I was one of the 'friends' you rang... Lets set this straight, I'm your sister, so I'm not a friend but someone who has the pleasure of sharing parents and a few chunks of DNA with you. You rang at five o'clock expecting me to get over to the NEC in pea-soup like fog, for seven to see Jasper Carrot. There are so many reasons why I said no... but mostly summed up in that last sentence.
