2007 Howies Dyfi Enduro (Mountain Biking)
Wow! This year's Dyfi Enduro was definitely the best ever. The course had changed in a number of areas compared to previous years, and at last the one bit I always disliked (pushing a bike up a long hill on shale) had gone away. Instead we were treated to many new downhill sections, seemingly less uphill, and I certainly experienced plenty of 'oh shit... *phew*...' moments as I battled for control with my bike while going over interesting terrain :)
I completed the event in ~ 4 hours 10 minutes, which was quite good (for me).
Annoyingly, even though I drank quite a lot of water (6+ liters in total), after an hour or so riding I stopped sweating, and developed a persistent annoying headache. I tried dosing myself up with Lucozade, Mars bars and a banana but these didn't help.

And where are the photos this year?
Did the dogs tag along? I have a spare yellow one you can borrow.
photos etc.
Normally the photos are available online sometime afterwards - there were a number of photographers around the course, so I suspect I was snapped by one.
I had intended to take my camera with me, but managed to forget it in the rush of 'oh bugger, I have lost my number' panic on Sunday morning.
Fortunately, for me, I don't think dogs are allowed to do the Enduro - certainly I've not seen anyone else take one with them. For a start, there would be an exceedingly high chance of them getting run over (or knocking someone off their bike!). Also, 60+ K is too far for a dog, and they'd probably find it very hard to complete, at least without ruining the pads on their paws.
