For the last several years we've gone camping in Aberystwyth / Machynlleth for the weekend of the Dyfi Enduro. I really want to go again this year, especially as it coincides with the bank holiday weekend, and we might get a chance to visit some friends in Aber and have a mini holiday.

Trouble is, the first weekend in may might well be a bit cold to take Rowan camping, so although we can wait until the weekend and see what its like, I'd rather have another plan in place. I've looked for dog-friendly (and non-dog friendly) cottages, but can't find anything vaguely in the right area for a weekend - they're all week-long and we don't want to spend 300 quid on a holiday we can't take. (and they're probably booked up since I looked). We can't stay in a hotel or B&B because we've got to take the dogs with us, as kennels are expensive and our normal dog-sitters are camping elsewhere for that weekend (also they tend to be expensive too!)

Does anyone know of anything like the following available in the general area for the bank holiday weekend:

• Dog friendly cottage that does weekend lets
• Someone with a caravan (static I guess) that wants to rent it out for the weekend
• Another bright idea

Note : we might just be able to leave the dogs with David's mother if we can find somewhere cheap that won't take dogs!
